THE DEBATABLE NATURE OF THE DEATH THEME TABOOING ISSUE [№ 3 ' 2022]
Death is one of the most exciting, common, emotional and taboo topics. Taboo is a complete ban or restriction. The article discusses the reasons for the taboo of death and the problems arising from it. The fear of death is one of them. Fear itself is a normal physiological reaction of the body to danger, however, when it acquires a pathological form, that is. phobia, the quality of life is declining.
The stages when a person is most susceptible to the fear of death are considered. For the first time a child encounters this phenomenon at the age of about five years. The loss of a beloved pet or family members makes you think, during this period it is important to honestly answer questions about death in a language accessible to the child in order to avoid problems in adulthood.
The next stage when ideas about death undergo changes is adolescence. During this period, it is typical to romanticize death, unlike adults, who perceive it exclusively as a tragic phenomenon. As you grow older, fear dulls and goes into the background, it is replaced by thoughts about building a career and starting a family.
Further collision with fear occurs during crisis periods, for example, in the midlife crisis, when basic needs are closed. Together with the rethinking of the past, joy, satisfaction and meaning disappear.
By old age, perception changes, acceptance of the inevitable comes. This is how the classic scheme of transforming the fear of death looks like.
The functions of death, the forms of fear of death, the specifics of the attitude to this phenomenon among people of dangerous professions, as well as the consequences of the complete absence of fear of the inevitable are considered.

COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN THE STRUCTURE OF THE SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING OF OLDER PEOPLE [№ 1 ' 2019]
According to Rosstat, people of older and retirement age make up more than 25 % of the modern population of Russia. In this regard, the problem of subjective well-being of this category of the population seems to be urgent. In addition to the economic and social context, issues, related to the psychological aspects of improving the quality of life of people who continue to work and complete it when they reach retirement age are increasingly being raised.
The multidimensional nature of the problem of the quality of life in general and its psychological component: the subjective assessment of well-being forces us to pay attention to the factors that have changed mostly in the life situation of older people who have ceased their work activity: changes in the sphere of communication, interaction, communication. In this regard, the influence of communicative competence on the subjective assessment of well-being of older people who continue and complete their work activities was investigated.
A study was conducted with two groups of elderly people in the amount of 60, including women and men aged 55–65, divided by the criterion of continuation / completion of labor activity living in St. Petersburg. A comparative study was carried out by means of private psychodiagnostic methods: “The scale of subjective well-being” (adaptation of M.V. Sokolova), “Test of life-meaning orientations” (D.A. Leontiev). In addition, the following methods were used: the informal conversation method, the author’s questionnaire “Subjective well-being” and the author’s formalized observation “Formation of communicative competence”.
It was found that subjective well-being is higher among older workers.
The use of correlation analysis revealed that retirement with the simultaneous termination of work leads to a decrease in the subjective assessment of well-being, as it entails changes in social status and a person’s usual lifestyle. Maintaining and improving the subjective well-being of non-working older people requires the development of communicative competence.

LATENT ROLE OF THE TEACHER IN THE SUBJECTIVE ASSESSMENT OF THE FAMILY WELL-BEING OF А 7–9 YEARS CHILD [№ 3 ' 2018]
The events of school life, the child's success in education often become the reason or cause for breakdown in family relationships. Practical experience of psychological accompaniment of primary schoolchildren suggests the existence of a bi-directional connection between the features of the child's adaptation to school and well-being in the sphere of family relationships. The idea, formulated by O.V. Kraasnova, connected with the development of the personality as an evolution of the personality-society, striving for the integrity of the system, reveals the methodological validity of such a connection. However, modern psychology is developing, although not enough, only one side of the problem: the impact of the quality of family relationships on the socio-psychological functioning of the child in school. Studies on the second vector of relationships between the family and the school have not been discovered. The research undertaken to reveal the unobvious role of the teacher in the subjective evaluation of family well-being included two psychodiagnostic techniques: “Family drawing” and Renй Gilles’ test film, primary schoolchildren were the object of the study (second year pupils) whose parents asked for advice because of the growing problems in family relationships at the beginning of school. Statistical treatment, performed by means of regression analysis, made it possible to detect the non-obvious role of the teacher in the structure of intra-family relationships. Mutual relations with the teacher act as a significant factor that affects both the subjective representation of the child about his family well-being and the attitude to the mother. The empirical confirmation of the influence of the interaction of the relationship with the teacher and the family relationship draws the attention of the practical psychologist to the compulsory registration in the process of psychological accompaniment of the primary school child and his family of two vectors of influence of the family and school that will allow to optimize the process and ensure the stability of the positive changes achieved in the process of psychological work.
