CLINICAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL INVESTIGATION OF INTRAOCULAR SAFETY OF NEW BIODEGRADABLE IMPLANT [№ 12 ' 2015]
The purpose of researcher is clinical and morphological substantiation of biodegradable implant safety during it's anterior chamber and intravitreal injection. The research was performed on 60 (120 eyes) rabbits chinchilla. Clinical examination, electroretinography and histology with light microscopy were performed after 1, 3, 7, 14, 21, 30 days. To assess the status of intraocular structures prior to implantation and in the dynamics underwent ophthalmic examination: biomicroscopy, photographic registration of fundus images, electroretinography. The results of the study indicates the safety of the intraocular injection of unsaturated and saturated dexamethasone implants.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF A 0.1 % SOLUTION OF BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE ON THE CONDITION OF THE CORNEA IN RABBITS [№ 12 ' 2015]
In order to create an experimental model of toxic corneal erosion in rabbits we have studied clinical and functional condition of the cornea (with use of confocal microscopy and quantitative calculation of the area of desquamated epithelium) and comparative assessment of the effect by instillation surface-active 0.1 % solution of benzalkonium chloride (experimental group) four times a day for 7 days, and saline solution (control group) on the rabbit cornea. It was shown that instillation of 0.1 % benzalkonium chloride for 7 days induced toxic corneal erosion, which is perspective for further development of new methods for treatment and prevention of this nosology.

INTRAVITREAL IMPLANT FOR DRUG DELIVERY TO THE POSTERIOR SEGMENT STRUCTURES OF THE EYE [№ 12 ' 2014]
Development and experimental substantiation of the method of drug delivery to the structures of the posterior segment using biodegradable intravitreal implant are considered. The peculiarity of the implant is the possibility of alternation of saturated and unsaturated medicinal substance layers. During studying of process of degradation of unsaturated implant was found that the degradation of the polymer backbone of the implant was by hydrolysis. The proposed implant provides periodic selection of the active substance that prevents the excess of the therapeutic drug concentrations in the environment due to the design of the implant.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE LOCAL SUBRETINAL INJECTION XENOGENIC STEM CELLS LABELED WITH MAGNETIC PARTICLES [№ 12 ' 2014]
There has been developed a technique for local subretinal injection of xenogeneic stem cells labeled with magnetic particles and to prove experimentally its effectiveness. In the experimental group we used original complex of polymer elastic magnetic implant (PEMI) with laser probe, then we made a median vitrectomy and injected HEK-293 GFP under the retina using a specially designed dispenser. In the control group PEMI was not fixed. Results. The morphological study results showed that cells were located in the subretinal space up to 14 days in the experimental group, and only up 3 days in the control group. Conclusion. The suggested surgical technique enables to control the injection of cells into the subretinal space, reduces the risk of tissue damage and exit cells in the vitreous space.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF CULTIVATION TECHNOLOGY OF MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS WITH MAGNETIC PARTICLES FOR THE SUBRETINAL INJECTION [№ 4 ' 2013]
The technology of the cultivation of mesenchymal stem cells with magnetic particles for the subretinal injection was developed in this work. The estimation of the effect of magnetic particles on the proliferation and functional activity of mesenchymal stem cells has been done. We studied the induction of apoptosis and viability of stem cells with magnetic particles. It has been proved that the technology is safe, the efficiency of the labeling of MSCs by magnetic particles for this technology is about 90%, the viability of stem cells is about 95%.

MORPHOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF RETINAL VESSELS AT CLASSICAL COURSE OF RETINOPATHY OF PREMATURITY ACTIVE STAGES [№ 4 ' 2013]
By means of the software "ROP-MORFOMETRY" made morphometric analysis of digital images of 155 (310 eyes) prematurity children with I, II and III of the active stages of retinopathy of prematurity. Vessels studied temporal and nasal arcades of the central zone and peripheral fundus. Accurate quantitative criteria diameter of retinal vessels, characterized by high and low risk of disease progression within each stage, defined diagnostic markers active course of retinopathy of prematurity with high risk of progression.
