Molchkova L.V. TRANSFER OF MEANING TYPES IN PHRASEOLOGYThe article considers analogue and proximative transfer of meaning. In pharseology meraphor and comparison are viewed as analogue transfer of meaning and metonymy and periphrasis as proximative transfer of meaning. Allegory and symbol represent further semantic development and transition to the higher level of abstraction and may be based both on analogy and adjacency of the referent.
