Signayevskaya O.R. CIVILIZATIONAL IDENTITY AS THE PROBLEM OF MODERN EDUCATION In the article we consider the theory of civilizations in two modern directions — materialistic and cultural and historic as the problem of cultural differences in conditions of the globalization in frames of the development of modern education. We offer the ways to decide the problems of remaining cultural differences by means of forming civilizational identity in the organization and the content of education. Particularly we keenly point the problem which rises in front of the organization of the space of Russia.Key words: civilizational identity, religion, globalization, the theory of civilizations, national idea, paradigm, the philosophy of education, cultural differences, social and cultural approach, education.
