Savchenko I.A. FOREIGN STUDENTS IN RUSSIA: CONDITIONS AND BARRIERS OF INTEGRATIONThe results of empirical research conducted among foreign students in institutes of higher education of Nizhny Novgorod are given in this article. The analysis of data allows revealing conditions and barriers of foreigners’ integration into new social-cultural reality. An aspiration of a foreigner to keep cultural identity is balanced with a wish to connect own future with Russia, but weak adaptive activity — with comfort feeling in Russian region. Key words: integration, social-cultural environment, cultural identity, discrimination, adaptation.
