KINETICS OF FATIGUE FRACTURE OF TITANIUM IN THE SUBMICROCRYSTALLINE STATE [№ 9 ' 2012] It is shown that ECAP-conform, forming sub microcrystalline structure, increases the fatigue limit of titanium Grade 4, by increasing the time to fatigue crack nucleation and the slower speed of its spread, as compared to baseline. However, the exponent n in the Paris's equation more than about 2 times. This demonstrates the sensitivity of the material to stresses during operation.

The report studied the structure of static and fatigue rupture for the АМ60 alloy samples in initial state (1 mm grain size) and after Equal Channel Angular Extrusion (ECAE) at 150?С (1 mkm grain size). Significant differences were found both in the mechanical alloy properties and macro- and microstructure of the fractures in the alloy samples in initial conditions and after ECAE.

FATIGUE BREAKDOWN OF TITANIUM AND TITANIUM ALLOY SAMPLES IN MICROCRYSTALLINE AND SUB MICROCRYSTALLINE STATES [№ 1 ' 2010] The objective of this work is study of the grain size impact on fatigue breakdown of titanium (Ti Grande 2, К3) with a b-phase grain size of 240 mkm and 0.15 mkm (150 Нм) and also titanium alloys (Ti-6Al-4V Eh) with a b-phase grain size of 15 mkm and 0.3 mkm (300 Нм) samples. It was shown that macro- and microstructure of the all breakings except those of titanium samples with a b-phase grain size of 240 mkm was nearly the same.
