Unishkova L.I., Pashtaev N.P., Pozdeeva N.A. ANALYSIS OF CHANGES IN THE ABERRATIONS OF THE OPTICAL SYSTEM OF THE EYE AFTER FEMTOSECOND INTRASTROMAL RING IMPLANTATION OF THE MYORING IN PATIENTS WITH HIGH MYOPIA IN COMBINATION WITH A THIN THICKNESS OF THE CORNEA [№ 12 ' 2015] Analysis of changes in the aberrations of the optical system of the eye after femtosecond intrastromal Myoring implantation in patients with high myopia in combination with a thin thickness of the cornea. Femtosecond intrastromal Myoring implantation was performed in 43 eyes (of 24 patients) with an age from 24 to 45 years (mean of 34.5 ± 3 years) with high myopia in combination with a thin cornea thickness. Corneal aberrometry was studied on aberrometer (Visionix L80 WAVE+, Israel) before and 3 months after femtosecond intrastromal Myoring implantation. The value of the spherical component of the refraction was from –9.25 to –17.5 diopters (average 13.4 ± 1.4 diopters), cylindrical from –1.0 to –4.0 diopters (average 2.5 ± 1.2 d). The minimum value of pachymetry in the centre ranged from 430 to 498 μm (average of 464 μm ± 20 μm). The average keratometry value — 44.50 diopters. The level of higher-order and lower-order aberrations were evaluated. Spherical aberration and Coma aberrations have analyzed from higher-order aberrations. There is analysis of changes in the aberrations of the optical system of the eye after femtosecond intrastromal ring implantation of the MyoRing in patients with high myopia in combination with a thin thickness of the cornea. Uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA) has increased in 8 times after MyoRing implantation, corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA) — in 1.5 times, spherical component decreased in 8.5 times, cylindrical — in 2 times immediately after surgery. UDVA improved from 0.13 ± 0.01 3 months after surgery, CDVA has not changed. Analysis of the results indicates a high refractive efficiency of this method, the reduction of lower-order aberrations and increasing higher-order aberrations. So, analysis of changes in the aberrations of the optical system of the eye after femtosecond intrastromal Myoring implantation in patients with thin cornea during 3 months observation showed a reduction of lower-order aberrations and an increase in higher-order aberrations. |
