It is revealed to increase of a role of a recreation in the course of labor reproduction: between disease and volume of used recreational services there is a high correlation dependence.

ASSESSMENT OF THE SOCIO — ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF ORENBURG REGION
The article considers the approach to the assessment of the socio-economic potential as the capacity of the economic system. The production capabilities include the set of all possible combinations of cost of labour and material resources and issues of the products. Such an approach in its basis is based on a Cobb-Douglas production function.

The article is devoted to the forecasting of structural changes and shifts in a branch structure of gross regional product by kinds of economic activities in the Orenburg region. The positive tendency of the change of the gross product in favor of hi-tech branches and sphere of services is characteristic for the states with the developed economy.

THE ESTIMATION OF THE COMPETITIVE ABILITY OF ORENBURG REGION
The authors represented the procedure of the estimation of the competitive ability of Orenburg region, based on the system of the indices, which characterize the level of economic development in the region, the standard of living of population, investment attractiveness. The procedure of the estimation of competitive ability is based on the comparison with an average Russian level, accepted as the criterion.

RESEARCH OF LABOR FORCE MOVEMENT INFLUENCE ON ECONOMIC INDEXES IN THE REGION
This article is devoted to the influence of labor force movement on macroeconomic indexes of the region. The models received as a result of regression analysis allow determining of intercommunications between macroeconomic indexes and producing of forecasting of economic growth indexes on their base depending on mobility of labor force in Orenburg region.

THE USE OF INDEX’S SYSTEM FOR APPRAISAL OF LIFE LEVEL OF ORENBURG REGION POPULATION
The problems of index’s system use for appraisal of life level of population are regarded in this article. The methodology of single-component, two-component and system indexes, and also conditions of its use are analyzed here. The calculation of all indexes’ types on the example of Orenburg region during the period 1999 – 2003 is realized and this calculation is represented in comparison with indexes of the Russian Federation on the whole. Considerable gap of the Orenburg region life level from the general Russian life level at all used indexes’ types is revealed here too.
