Baranova O.M. EMPIRICAL HEDONIST D. HUME AND HIS IDEA ABOUT A LOVE AFFECT IN HUMAN NATURE The author explores the significance of the theory of indirect moral sentiments by D. Hume, first of all love and hate, highlighting the affect of love or sexual love, as a representation of it, anticipating its understanding in world philosophy, and has had a tremendous impact on the concept of love and sex as empirical components of human nature and its unity with the spiritual principle.
