ECOLOGY OF CENTROHELID HELIOZOA IN THE SOUTHERN URALS RESERVOIRS Ecological characteristics and distribution of centrohelid heliozoa in different kinds of water bodies of the Southern Urals were studied. The relationships of species composition and ecological types of reservoirs were analyzed, freshwater and halophilic species were described, species Polyplacocystis ambigua was described as indicator organism.Key words: Centrohelida, Protista, Heliozoa, ecology.
