Pisarchik T.P. APOLLON GRIGORIEV: LIFE AGAINST THEORY The author of the article considers the general philosophical principles of organic criticism, founded by Apollon Grigoriev. Organic criticism is contrasted by Grigoriev to historical criticism dominanted in the middle of the XIX century, and closely related to the philosophy of Hegel. Organic criticism has its roots in the philosophy of Schelling, who saw a means of expression of life is just art. The same view on the role of art is developing the Russian thinker. Key words: organic theory, organic criticism, science of soil, historical criticism, life, art, theory, romanticism.
