DRINKING WATER QUALITY AND ENDEMIC DISEASES IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES OF ASIAThe developing countries — Yemen, Iraq, Bangladesh and Syria — are the most typical at ecological-hygiene and demographic problems are studied in this paper. In these countries, about 60% of rural population has no access to safe drinking water, which is the cause of the spread of diseases among the local population.
