Dementieva E.V., Likhachev S.F. MORPHO-PHYSIOLOGICAL ADAPTATIONS OF PERITRICHOUS INFUSORIA TO ATTACHED LIFE STYLE Adaptive changes in the size and form of peristome, depending on the object of attachment, the degree of carrier using as a source of food and nutritional conditions of the pond (zone of saprobic) are noted in peritrichous infusoria. With a lack of food resources the species with a wide peristome are dominated. At the improvement of nutrition conditions the size of peristome decreases (mainly in episois and mixobionts). Key words: peritrichous infusoria, adaptation, object of attachment, morphological features, feeding conditions.
