PECULIARITIES OF PORTRAIT DESCRIPTIONS IN ENGLISH REALISTIC LITERATURE OF XIX CENTURY This article is devoted to the problem of portrait descriptions in English realistic literature. Portrait descriptions are regarded as discursively connected semantic divided elements of art text in frame of linguistic and pragmatic analysis. The questions of topographic and local markers of portrait descriptions and its linguistic methods of expressions are regarded in this article too.
