VAGAL MOTOR RESPONCES OF GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT ENHANCED BY THE SEROTONINOREACTIVE STRUCTURES [№ 5 ' 2011] The mechanical activity of the stomach, duodenum and ascending colon were recorded in acute experiments in 29 rabbits. The distal part of the vagus nerve was electrically stimulated in intact animals and on the serotonin adipate background. It was shown that serotonin enhances motor vagal reactions, increasing both intensity and in some cases the duration. Concluded that between serotoninergic structures that regulate the motility of the gastrointestinal tract and parasympathetic portion of the autonomic nervous systemthe functional interaction exists. |
