The examined problem of a place of the rhetoric in system of humanitarian knowledge for today is one of the most actual. The vector of the further researches on rhetoric and development of concepts of its teaching depends on its decision in many respects. In the article the status is proved of the rhetoric as lingvo - culturelogical discipline.
