EPIDEMIOLOGY OF CORNEAL ECTASIAS. LITERATURE REVIEW [№ 12 ' 2015]
Data on frequency of corneal ectasias varies significantly. The first epidemiological studies were conducted in 1959 by Hofstetter et al. in the US where the frequency of corneal ectasias was 0.6 %. The growing interest in keratorefractive surgeries, introduction of anterior segment analyzers at the end of the last century marked the beginning of a new era in diagnosis of corneal ectasias for which reason the incidence of corneal ectasias increased. Disease incidence depends on climatic and geographical factors, the level of technical equipment of medical institutions, ethnic background. Hereditary forms of ectasias according to different authors meet in 6–21,74 % of cases. Family forms of keratoconus patients Israel, Saudi Arabia, India can be attributed to inbreeding — high frequency of closely related marriages. Thus, according to the literature data there is an annual growth of corneal ectasias mainly in young active age population what requires the use of modern diagnostic methods with the aid of high-tech equipment for early diagnosis and treatment.

CLINICAL OUTCOMES PELLYUTSIDNOY DEGENERATION OF THE CORNEA CORNEAL COLLAGEN CROSS-LINKING METHOD [№ 12 ' 2014]
We observed 18 patients (27 eyes) with pellucid corneal degeneration who underwent a standard CXL technique. The given treatment stabilized the disease process in 85 % of cases (23 eyes) and improved optometric indices due to reduction of corneal refractive power by an average 1,0 D in 6–12 months, improvement of best corrected visual acuity by 1,5 times (from 0,41 to 0,59), corneal flattening and compaction.

THE INTRASTROMAL CORNEAL SEGMENTS KERARING IMPLANTATION IN CORRECTION RESIDUAL AMETROPIA AFTER EPIKERATOPLASTY BY KERATOKONUS [№ 4 ' 2013]
The intrastromal corneal segments Keraring were implanted for correction of residual ametropia after epikeratoplasty to 8 patients (8 eyes). As a result, the value of corneal astigmatism decreased from -10,83±0,79 D to -3,45±0,89 D, the refractive power of the cornea — from 53,16±0,73 D to 45,45±1,39 D; visual acuity improved from 0,07±0,02 to 0,45±0,05. The intrastromal corneal segments implantation is an effective way for the correction of residual ametropia after epikeratoplasty.

EXISTENTIAL DEPTHS OF "TRANSCENDENTAL SUBJECT" CLASSICAL PHILOSOPHIZING [№ 2 ' 2003]
The article is devoted to investigation of existence as the first principle of mind. The comprehension of existential depths of "transcendental subject" inevitably runs across the problem of overcoming an abyss between transcendental philosophy and concrete experience, between a system and a problem. The analysis of the works of existentialists of the XX-th century shows, that existentialism could have been more fruitful methodologically if it had been connected with the idea of transcendental subject which, according to Kant, plays the role of an absolutely regulative principle that puts in order forms of rational activity. The concept of existence becomes rich in content only in that case, when it obtains the meaning of a reference point.
