POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION FOR NURSES IN OPHTHALMOLOGY ^{[№ 1 ' 2016]}
Orenburg branch in cooperation with the regional medical college holds postgraduate certification courses of improvement and specialization for nurses and nurses — optometrists. It includes specialization for nurses — 216 h., improvement — 144 h., retraining of nurses — optometrists — 540 h. Training is carried out at least 1 time in 5 years. 290 nurses have been trained over the past 5 years. The teachers are candidates of medical sciences. All lectures and seminars are held in the conference hall with modern projection equipment. Nurses get acquainted with modern equipment in diagnostic rooms and study new technologies of treatment of eye diseases in procedure and examination room. We use telecommunications technologies in the training of nurses. The control of knowledge is carried out by computer-based testing and examination. New informational technologies provide a continuous process of training for nurses in ophthalmology.

POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION IN OPHTHALMOLOGY ^{[№ 12 ' 2015]}
Orenburg branch employees perform postgraduate education of ophthalmologists — general improvement (certification cycle — 144 h., thematic improvement — 72 h. and improvement in the workplace) according to the license for educational activity (№ 0752, June 04, 2013.). According to the existing requirements each specialist should undergo improvement 1 time every 5 years. Ophthalmologists from Orenburg region, Kazakhstan, Chelyabinsk, Chechen Republic, Kaliningrad underwent improvement on the base of the Orenburg region. Among our teachers are 6 professors, honored scientists, doctors and candidates of medical sciences, high level certificate physicians. Lectures and seminars are held in the conference hall with modern projection equipment, the original form of lectures with synchronous graphic illustration and demonstration of advanced technologies operations are introduced in the process. We pay great attention to the practical part of education: an examination of patients, an analysis of non-standard cases, a visit to the operating room, work out in the training room, where there is a microscope and a set of ophthalmic surgical microinstruments. For the control of students' knowledge computer tests are developed in the research and education center to estimate the initial and the final level of knowledge before the exam. Postgraduate training of nurses is held in cooperation with the Orenburg Regional Medical College, including the use of telecommunication technologies. It is possible to ensure a continuous process of training of specialists in ophthalmology due to the improvement of information technology in the modern system of postgraduate education.

WAY OF DONOR CORNEA FIXATION AT PRESERVATION ^{[№ 4 ' 2013]}
There was developed and implemented a device for donor cornea fixing at preservation with the opportunity of cornea on the convex surface of the hemisphere, the upper part of which has a through hole for laying cornea on it. The obtained results of histological investigation of cornea preserved in vacuum at hypothermia indicate structural preservation of the material, and there are no signs of mechanical damage of preserved material.
