The article focuses on the personal contacts between Henry VIII Tudor and Maximilian I Hapsburg and explores symbolic dimension of Anglo-Imperial relations: approaches of both monarchs to political propaganda, images of rule, means of representation of power and their evolutionin the first decade of the 16 century.
