In the article the questions of conformity of sports activity to laws of professional work are examined. Specific conditions of activity of the person regularly engaged by sports exercises, formation factors of practical experience, perfection of methodical approaches in professional training of sportsmen, aspects of optimization of the characteristic of sports qualification are discussed. The problem of modernization of methodological conditions of sportsmen preparation is put.
