THE ROLE OF GROUP WORK AND PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS' COMMUNICATION [№ 4 ' 2025] The effectiveness of using group work and project-based learning to develop law students' communication skills while learning English is increasingly gaining momentum, as any project for any assignment can serve as a future case study in legal practice. The aim of my study was to examine the specifics of teaching professional foreign languages to future lawyers and to justify the need to implement interactive teaching methods in the context of the globalization of legal relations. I conducted a pedagogical experiment at the Law School, involving 84 students divided into experimental and control groups. The data demonstrate the significant positive impact of group projects on the development of students' linguistic and professional competencies, particularly in the pragmatic and strategic components of communicative competence. Project-based learning helps overcome psychological, linguistic, and sociocultural communication barriers and develop business communication skills in English. The four-stage model I developed for integrating project-based learning into professionally oriented foreign language teaching for law students includes informational, research, practice-oriented, and interdisciplinary projects. The methodological recommendations for organizing project-based learning were developed taking into account modern requirements for legal professionals. Particular attention is paid to the use of information and communication technologies in project work and overcoming communication barriers when simulating professional communication situations in English. The proposed training and research results confirm that integrating language and professional objectives in projectbased learning increases student motivation and promotes their appreciation of English as a professional tool.

COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT OF LAW STUDENTS OF NON-LINGUISTIC UNIVERSITIES WHEN STUDYING ENGLISH [№ 1 ' 2025] Law enforcement practice, international treaties, litigation, legal consultations and other areas of legal activity increasingly require knowledge of professional vocabulary and the ability to conduct legal communication in English. In this regard, the development of communicative competence of law students in the process of studying the discipline “Foreign Language in Jurisprudence” is of particular importance. The purpose of my research is to study approaches to the formation of communicative competence in law students within the framework of the discipline “Foreign Language in Jurisprudence”, as well as to consider the main components of communicative competence, its importance for the professional growth of future lawyers. The study focuses on the development of effective methods and approaches that contribute to the active acquisition of a foreign language, such as situational modeling, the use of real legal cases, participation in role-playing games and trials. It is noted that these methods help students not only improve their language skills, but also develop skills in legal argumentation, analysis, as well as the ability to conduct professional negotiations and discussions. The practical application of the methods emphasizes the importance of digital technologies, online courses and specialized platforms that allow students to study legal English in depth and interact with international legal practice. The methods and approaches I propose, namely their practical application, including debates and work with legal documentation, contribute to the development of all aspects of communicative competence: oral and written speech, reading and listening. On this basis, practical recommendations are offered for improving the process of teaching the discipline “Foreign Language in the Field of Jurisprudence” to law students. The approaches I propose are aimed at preparing students for successful professional activity, ensuring their competitiveness in the international legal environment and improving their level of foreign language proficiency in the legal field.
