RANIBIZUMAB IN THE TREATMENT OF THE CLASSICAL FORM OF CHOROIDAL NEOVASCULARIZATION IN DEGENERATIVE DISEASES OF THE EYEThe study included 74 patients with classic choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in pathological myopia and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) receiving intravitreal ranibizumab to clinical stabilization process. The mean follow — 24,8±13,1 months. An average of 1,5±0,8 injection in groups with myopic refraction, 2,4±2 in the group of patients with AMD was required. Results: The use of ranibizumab in patients with classic CNV in complicated myopia and exudative AMD is an effective treatment. Classic CNV in AMD require more injections of ranibizumab for stabilizing than in complicated myopia.Key words: pathological myopia, ranibizumab, choroidal neovascularization.
