THE SOURCES OF LIVELIHOODS AND ECONOMIC SITUATION OF MUSLIM CLERGY (ON THE EXAMPLE OF ORENBURG PROVINCE)This article analyzes the sources of livelihoods and gives a general assessment of economic situation of Muslim clergy on the example of Orenburg province. The author concludes that his wealth is directly dependent on the financial position of his parishioners, who provided to him donations, payment for performance of religious rites and for education of children in religious schools.Key words: Islam, Muslim clergy, mullah, muezzin, income, economic situation, Orenburg province.
