ON REDUCTION OF DELAYS TO TRANSPORT IN THE AREA OF PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS (FOR EXAMPLE, ORENBURG) The article describes the results of the study on the nature of the traffic and transport delays in land area for pedestrian crossings in Orenburg. The authors identified characteristics indicating that the location of a pedestrian crossing on the highway-road network objects directly affects the amount of traffic delays. The authors concluded that the choice of organizational-technical actions, taking into account the location of the pedestrian crossings will help decongest the highway-road network of the city and to improve road safety.
